Navneet Gosal - Advisor

Navneet is a seasoned technology entrepreneur turned angel investor and venture capitalist. Navneet relocated to India from US in 2010 to manage portfolio companies for the venture capital fund, India Venture Partners (IVP) that he co-founded in 2009. IVP currently has 12 portfolio companies (7 in India and 5 in US).

Navneet has 20 years of experience in working with technology startups and emerging companies. He has been involved in building mission critical technologies for healthcare, aerospace and telecom industries. In his career, Navneet has held various operational positions that contributed to building up of those businesses.

Navneet’s most recent venture was a mobile technology services company called RelayStrategy that he founded in 2009. RelayStrategy was acquired by Altruist Group in India in July 2011.

Prior to RelayStrategy, Navneet was a founding team member and CTO of Care Fusion, a leading provider of mobile healthcare software. Following the successful acquisition of Care Fusion by Cardinal Health Inc., Mr. Gosal became the head of the R&D group for the Clinical Services business unit of Cardinal Health.

Mr. Gosal started his career as a software engineer at Nortel Networks in Raleigh, North Carolina and later became part of the founding team at ORBIMAGE (now known as Geoeye). ORBIMAGE was involved in providing satellite imagery and remote sensing services to customers around the world. From ORBIMAGE, Navneet made the transition into mobile space by working as senior product manager for Aether Systems, an early innovator of enterprise mobile solutions. That experience led to founding of CareFusion in 2001 in the mobile healthcare space.

Mr. Gosal is an active angel investor with various investments both in the US and India. Mr. Gosal is also a member of the Indian Angel Network (IAN).



Rajesh Rai - Advisor

Rajesh brings over 13 years of venture capital, corporate and entrepreneurial experience to his position. Rajesh co-founded  New Markets Venture Partners (NMVP), a leading venture capital fund in the Washington DC region with 16 portfolio companies

Investors in NMVP include banks, family offices and successful entrepreneurs. Rajesh has worked in NMVP for over 7 years across the life cycle of fund raising, investing, building and exiting investments.

Rajesh serves as a board observer for FortiusOne (www.fortiusone.com) - a mapping and analytics company listed among Red Herring Top 100 companies; Artifact Software (www.artifactsoftware.com) - a software development product company with a global customer base; Innovative Biosensors (www.innovativebiosensors.com) - a developer of rapid pathogen detection systems.

Rajesh has also been an adviser to India based companies including: Arctern (www.arctern.com) - a Bangalore based remote staffing company, Paytronic India (www.paytronicindia.com) - a Mumbai based consumer payment acceptance network, Ticketvala (www.ticketvala.com) - India's largest online bus-ticket platform. Prior to co-founding NMVP, Rajesh launched new businesses at Godrej-GE Appliances, worked on product planning at Federal Express, optimized product design at Kirloskar Electric and managed an educational services franchise.

Rajesh teaches at the University of Maryland's Executive MBA program. He is a TIE DC Charter Member and serves on committees of the U.S. National Science Foundation, and the Maryland Israel Development Corporation. Rajesh graduated from NIT Surathkal, India where he majored in mechanical engineering. He received a Masters in International Business from IIFT, Delhi and a MBA from the University of Maryland. He has completed an Executive program in Private Equity and Venture Capital at the Harvard Business School. He is fluent in Kannada, Hindi, Tulu and English.
